InnovatieCentrum Curaçao and Bedrijvenplatform Milieu Curaçao both strive to promote sustainable entrepreneurship among businesses in Curaçao. This common objective has resulted in a collaborative initiative: the Sustainable Innovation Award. During this event the most sustainable business in Curaçao will be awarded with the Sustainable Innovation Award 2012.
To qualify for participation in the Sustainable Innovation Award event, first an application form must be completed and handed in before June 29th 2012. This form will soon be provided on this website. Your provided data offers an insight in what level of sustainability your business currently is at, and which efforts in particular have contributed to the sustainability of your business, starting from 2009 to date. This form will be used as a pre-assessment tool.
Based on the forms received, a selection committee will select a maximum of 20 companies, who will be assessed by a jury to compete for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. This assessment is based on an extensive audit, in which sustainable efforts will be evaluated and verified.

Prizes
Participating businesses are divided into two categories; small businesses (50 employees or less) and larger businesses (with more than 50 employees). In both business categories the following prices are awarded:
1st prize: 7.500,- ANG
2nd prize: 500,- ANG
3rd prize: 250,- ANG

Important dates
Closing date for application: June 29th, 2012
Award ceremony: November 29th, 2012.

After it’s great success in 2010, the second edition of the EFEX Invention Contest will once again take place this year. The EFEX Invention Contest is a collaboration between InnovatieCentrum Curaçao (ICC) and the Efficiency EXPO (EFEX). The objective of the competition is to stimulate creativity and presentation skills among high school students in order to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.
